Dams Maestro series of office furniture

The Maestro series of business furniture manufactured by Dams International is possibly the most popular ranges of business furniture ever produced. The success of Maestro office furniture is based upon a formula of Maestro offering excellent value, Maestro products are very dureable and functional, and Maestro offers a wide choice of modular furniture products. Maestro is an excellent choice for both budget conscious firms or the home office furniture user.

Maestro desks come in a choice of three basic shapes (L shaped, wave and rectangular desks) each with a selection of sizes and a choice of leg designs from wooden panel end and a grey painted metal cantilever design. In previous years Maestro products have been manufactured in several different MFC woodgrain effect finishes. Recently the range has been restricted to either beech or oak woodgrain finish, though cherry and light grey furniture has only recently been phased out and for certain products residual stocks may still be available.

If there is any drawback to using Maestro office furniture, it is that it is manufactured from 18mm MFC woodgrain effect chipboard which can make it look slightly too inexpensive when impression counts with external visitors, though it’s lasting strength and durability should not be in doubt despite its budget appearance. The business office furniture market has leaned firmly towards 25mm furniture ranges over the last few years which generally looks much more expensive. A middle ground upgrade path from Maestro is the Maestro 25 furniture range (AKA M25 furniture).

Maestro 25 desks are only around 10% to 15% more expensive than Maestro desking, but they appear a far superior quality and give a better impression. Both furniture ranges can be installed in the same office and will not stick out like a sore thumb. The main thing to note is that M25 desks only come in standard metric depths and widths (800mm deep and metric widths like 1200mm, 1400mm, 1600mm etc.) whereas Maestro desking comes in various non standard depths and widths (746mm deep and widths such as 1228mm, 1532mm, 1778mm etc.) This size issue is only a problem if you intend to add a Maestro 25 desk adjacent to a cluster of 18mm Maestro desks.
